Matchmaker is an adequate online dating site with a simple interface, multiple ways to search, and two ways to communicate. This is one of the smaller sites with the oldest visitor profile.

Dating Pool Potential:  

Matchmaker’s visitors are more frequently female than male, 54% earn over $60,000 per year and 78% are over the age of 35, significantly higher than any other dating site reviewed. There are about 6000 users online at any given time, less than half of the higher ranked sites where the numbers are available. 

Profiles:  

A standard profile is provided for each member with these additions: high school in addition to college, Chinese horoscope with astrological horoscope, level of faith along with specific faith. And, you may reveal which celebrity you most resemble. Photos are small in the profiles; you must click on photo to see a larger version, but you may add a caption. 

Matching/Searching:  

Matchmaker offers more quick searches than most other online dating sites. In addition to Who’s Online and Who’s New in your area, you may search for members celebrating a birthday. You may modify the age range and a geographic radius for each search. 

Communication & Additional Services:  

Matchmaker offers instant messaging, expressions of interest and emails. Look for the heart next to a member’s listing: half a red heart indicates one member has viewed the other; an entirely red heart indicates you’ve viewed one another.

Chat rooms and the ability to mark members as favorites are two additional site features available on Matchmaker. Higher ranked sites offer many more features like an online magazine and the ability to send recommendations on to friends, which would fit well with Matchmaker. 

Ease of Use:  

Easy to use and intuitive, you will not have trouble navigating Matchmaker. The photos are smaller in the lists, which makes it more difficult to determine your interest level without additional clicks.

Summary:
